Fumaroles Diagrammatic. A fumarole is a vent from which volcanic gas escapes into the atmosphere. Therefore, they are extensively used to monitor and forecast eruptive activity.
At the center of the earth is the core. The acid fumaroles yield vapours of lower temperature (300° to 400°) containing much water vapour, with hydrogen chloride and sulphur dioxide.
